We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Sous Chef to join our team and contribute to serving amazing cuisine in our gastro pub setting. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team to consistently meet excellent standards. Responsibilities:

• Manage all activities in the kitchen, including food preparation and production, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

• Ensure that food products, presentation, and plating meet the highest quality standards and are

served in a timely manner.

• Manage inventory and stock, monitoring usage, and coordinating with suppliers to maintain ingredient availability.

• Assume the role of Head Chef in their absence, overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and

ensuring efficient service.

• Ensure kitchen staff follow standards, procedures, rules, and health and safety requirements,

maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment.

• Manage kitchen shifts, coordinating with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

and timely service.

• Assist the Head Chef and collaborate in menu planning, recipe development, and the creation of new

dishes.

• Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff, ensuring their professional growth, and promoting

teamwork and high-quality food production.

• Support the Head Chef in managing staff-related issues, resolving conflicts, and addressing

performance concerns.

• Collaborate with the restaurant manager to ensure excellent service, seamless coordination between

the kitchen and front-of-house, and overall guest satisfaction.

• Assist in the maintenance and functionality of kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions or repair needs.

• Perform other duties as directed by the Head Chef or management team.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English (C1 level proficiency). Display effective communication skills in English. The ability to convey information clearly, follow instructions, and interact professionally with colleagues and the public is essential.

• Exceptional cooking skills and a minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience.

• Proven experience in kitchen management, demonstrating leadership abilities and the ability to

oversee kitchen operations effectively.

• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency.
